'The Love Between Them Melts My Heart': Father's Day Photos

SANDOWN, NH—Whether it's through his or her personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, a son or daughter often takes on the qualities of the dad who raised them. With Father's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across New Hampshire to share their "father-son" or "father-daughter" lookalike photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are; they'll always be a chip off the old block.

Julia Abbott submitted this photo of her husband Billy and their daughter Jillian, who is 7. The family lives in Sandown, NH. The photo was taken four years ago.

My husband Billy and I have yours, mine and ours. We have raised our teenagers together and then had one of our own together! Jillian is 7 and daddy’s little girl! They were playing on the couch together and I looked up to them face to face and the love between the two of them just melts my heart! Billy is a wonderful father, he works hard to make sure we all have what we need and gets down at the end of long days at work to play with his daughter. - Julia Abbott
