Massachusetts Teen Arrested On An Armed Robbery Charge In Salem
Derick Moncion of Haverhill faces a felony charge after being accused of robbery during an in-person sale of footwear set up on Snapchat.

SALEM, NH — A Massachusetts man who police accused of being involved in an armed robbery earlier this month has been arrested and arraigned on a felony charge.
On Oct. 4, officers were sent to assist a resident who had been robbed at gunpoint during a sale of "multiple pairs of footwear," according to Joel Dolan, the chief of police in Salem. The victim met the suspect, Derick Moncion, 19, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, after lining up the sale on Snapchat, and they agreed to meet on Brady Avenue.
"Moncion was also accompanied by two other people," Dolan said. "When the meeting occurred, Moncion allegedly took out a gun and threatened to shoot the victim if he did not hand over the items that had been for sale. The victim was not injured, nor were any other injuries reported following the incident."
