New England Championship Wrestling Debuts in Hampstead, Saturday Night, October 10

Coming off its 15th anniversary celebration, New England Championship Wrestling (NECW) heads north to make its debut in Hampstead, NH at The Phan Zone 142 NH-111 with a live event titled AUTUMN IMPACT, Saturday night, October 10th with a 7 PM bell time.

New England Championship Wrestling is the longest continuously operating local professional wrestling promotion in the area. The company presents action-packed, yet family friendly events at reasonable prices in an intimate atmosphere. Promoter Sheldon Goldberg says, “What we give our fans is a high level of athletic action, good story telling and great value for their dollar.” The company will be returning to local broadcast TV in January on COZI TV in Boston and MeTV New York. “We are the only local wrestling promotion that does television,” added Goldberg. NECW also presents regular original programming to a vast audience via YouTube.

The talent is largely local, but NECW attracts talent from everywhere. “We currently have several people on our roster from Canada and last month, we had a very accomplished wrestler – a champion from Germany – make his American debut with us,” added Goldberg. There are many, many national and international stars who cut their teeth in an NECW ring. Everyone from WWE stars John Cena and Kofi Kingston to TNA Tag Team Champion, Eddie Edwards to Ring of Honor stars Hanson and Bobby Fish to WWE NXT stars Finn Balor, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch all had ring time in NECW before “making it big.” “There is a very good chance that the stars you see in NECW today, will be the big national stars 3 to 5 years from now.”

In the main event of AUTUMN IMPACT, new NECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Masshole” Mike McCarthy. makes his first title defense against “Pure Talent” Chris Escobar. Escobar has quickly established himself as a top contender and a force to be reckoned with. McCarthy’s first title defense will not be an easy one.

In a huge return grudge match, former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown collides with former champion, Brad Hollister. Hollister injured Wagner at last month’s BASH 15, costing him the title, so SWB is looking for revenge on the former champion and Hollister would like nothing more than to pick up the victory, shutting down any forward momentum for the now former kingpin.

New NECW Television Champion, Todo Loco defends his newly regained crown against “The Mind Eraser” Mike Garca. For the first time, the champion may be facing some more loco than he is.

The World Women’s Wrestling Championship will be on the line as Mistress Belmont defends against Nikki Valentine with Maximum Mecca in her corner.

Maximum Mecca will see action in another women’s bout taking on Canadian newcomer, Eve.

In a special tag team challenge, Jack Maverick teams with newcomer Brute Van Slyke, making his NECW debut, taking on “The Canadian Giant” Genesis and fellow Canadian, Alex North making his NECW debut.
