Out of Town Senior Center Membership Capped
Town still accepting bids for former Mary Foss School auction next week; temporary southbound on ramp to open Friday at Exit 2 on I-93.

The Board of Selectmen voted on Monday to cap the out of town Senior Center membership at 400 after learning from Senior Center Director Patti Drelick that out of town membership is up nearly 15 percent from last year at 381 members, according to the Eagle Tribune.
The Salem Board of Selectmen also voted on Monday night to hold trick or treating on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Town officials are still accepting bids to auction off the old Mary Foss School building this month.
The building is located is 287 Lawrence Road and the minimum bid is $150,000. The auction is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. and will be conducted by James R. St. Jean Auctioneers in Epping.

Also, New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials announced the opening of the new temporary southbound on-ramp located at the Exit 2 interchange with Pelham Road and Interstate 93 in Salem.
