Salem Author Signs New Book on Saturday

Vincent Donovan of Salem is hosting a book event at the Salem Barnes and Noble on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. The event will be held at 1 p.m. at the store’s South Broadway location.

His book, “Chasing Mayflies,” was released in mid-July, and chronicles the lives of two friends – one who is dying and needs help from another – and the other who is asked to help even though he received no help during his time of crisis.

The book is described online as “’R.I.P.’ roaring, hilarious journey that matches an intriguing plot with a thought-provoking message that will resonate with your soul long after the story ends.” People who grew up in the Merrimack Valley may feel a connection to the book since it includes many local and regional landmarks.

Donovan, according to his bio, is a married father of two grown daughters and has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for nearly 30 years. Twice he has been a quarter finalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest.
