Salem NH Blue Devils Softball Announces Dates For 14u Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2018-2019 14u Salem NH Blue Devils USA Softball team will be taking place on the following dates:

• Tuesday July 31, 2018 6-8pm @ Bryan field at Woodbury School, 206 Main St in Salem
• Thursday August 2, 2018 6-8pm @ Bryan field at Woodbury School
• Saturday August 4, 2018 2-4pm @ Bryan field at Woodbury School
• If you cannot make any of the dates above, you can schedule a tryout with us at a time we can both agree upon, as long as it’s completed before Aug 4th, 2018.

We ask that you register for tryouts on our website, choosing the date(s) you plan to try out. You are welcome to tryout as many times as you like, and there is NO charge for trying out. This team will be made up of players born in 2004-2005. Attend as many tryouts as possible. You do NOT need to be from Salem to play on this team.

The team will start practicing in October, outside, then will move inside over the winter and will be practicing in Salem NH gymnasiums, which has worked out well over the last 2 years.

The team will start games in June 2019, after the High School season ends, and play until August, 2019. Plan to play in 6-8 tournaments.

This team will be listed as a Class B USA Softball Tournament Team. We will plan in Class B and Class A tournaments in the New England area, with several weekends of traveling to locations 1-3 hours away.

Registrations will remain open until Friday, August 3rd, 2018. The team will be selected on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.

The cost to play will be $500. This will include (2) custom jerseys, pants, a belt, (2) pairs of socks, a practice jersey, a hoodie, a helmet and 6-8 tournaments. Tuition is paid in installments between October and February. Our costs are kept down as we do not pay our coaches, we use public gyms at no cost to us, we have our own fields, and we have a tag day to help defer the costs.

Salem NH Softball has been a long-time member of Babe Ruth Softball, and began an affiliation with USA Softball last year, doing very well in tournaments both last year and this year, where the team is currently 17-4. You can follow the league’s yearly accomplishments on this page:
