Friday, Apr. 27

  • A caller on Millville Street reported the telephone pole on the corner of Spring Street is cracked from the base, halfway up.
  • A caller reported her wallet was stolen from McDonald's on S. Broadway Street. The wallet contained cash, cards and her license.
  • A caller reported her iPhone was taken from her purse at the J.C. Penney on Rockingham Park Boulevard.
  • An employee from North American Plumbing and Heat on Lowell Road called police to report a fraudulent check, passed by a former employee.
  • A man went to the Salem Police Dept. to report his friend who had overdosed in his vehicle, which was now parked in front of the station.
  • A caller reported his wallet was stolen and some of his credit cards were used at Best Buy on S. Broadway Street.
  • Frontline Media, a contractor working with Toys R Us to advertise their closeout sales reported that an employee was paid for work and did not show up.
  • Police were called to Cheers Poker Room on N. Broadway Street for a suspicious person. On arrival, a responding officer got into a fight with the suspect, Alex Kashar, 27 of Plymouth, MA. He was arrested for resisting arrest and his car was towed.

  • Glen Hancock, 55, of Salem, NH was arrested for simple assault and false imprisonment. Police were called to N. Policy Street after a male was heard yelling for help. According to police the man said he was assaulted by Hancock.
  • A caller reported items had been taken from his N. Policy Street residence.
  • A man told police he had backed into a vehicle on Brook Road.
  • A caller reported seeing a suspicious blonde female, possibly intoxicated who entered the Tuscan Market on Willow Street and began yelling at people for no reason.
  • A caller reported wires down on Ermer Road. The caller said a bucket truck was working on wires in the area when it hit a live wire, which wrapped around its rear axle. Police informed the power company, which cut power to the area. It's unknown who the truck belonged to after both Liberty and Comcast said it wasn't theirs.
  • A caller reported a male at Walmart threatening tow females who cut him in line.
  • A caller reported two males trying to sell makeup inside the Target on S. Broadway Street
  • A woman reported her car was hit while she was shopping at the Market Basket on S. Broadway Street.
  • A manager from Market Basket reported a man, who sat in the store and ate a chicken for two hours, did not pay.
  • Police were called to the Mill Pond Restaurant on East Broadway St. for two intoxicated females fighting outside. The women were gone on arrival. Police were later called back after one of the females who had been fighting, returned to the restaurant.

Sunday, Apr. 29

  • Police were called to JT's Tavern on S. Broadway for a fight inside the bar.
  • Lisa Noal, 26 of Lowell, MA was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on N. Broadway Street.
  • Police were called to St. David's Church on Main Street for a call of illegal dumping. Police said a red pickup truck had dumped trash into the wetlands behind the church.
  • A caller on Brady Avenue said his mailbox was destroyed by a car, which drove off.
  • A woman on Kimball Avenue reported her husband was abusive to her.

Monday, Apr. 30

  • A caller reported her wallet was stolen at Cumberland Farms on S. Broadway Street. Employees told her that there was video of a man rummaging through her vehicle.
  • Delia Cruz, 27, of Reading, MA was arrested for operating without a valid license.
