Salem Road Closure After Pipe Collapse

Hooker Farm Road in Northeast Salem will be closed for repairs.

SALEM, NH — Hooker Farm Road in Northeast Salem was closed for repairs after a drainage pipe collapsed, according to town officials. The collapse happened near Plaisted Road.

Hooker Farm Road was closed to all but local traffic Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for repairs. The road will be closed during the same timeframe Wednesday. A detour will be in place.

"The closure period may be adjusted depending on what we learn about the condition of the culvert as we begin excavation," Salem officials said in a statement. "We appreciate your patience and cooperation in understanding the importance of making this repair."
