The Salem Board of Selectmen voted Monday to cap the number of out of town seniors for the town's Senior Center at 400 after learning about the high demand for the services provided, according to the Eagle Tribune.

The daily newspaper reported that selectmen found out from Senior Center Director Patti Drelick that non-residential members from 20 surrounding communities have increased by nearly 15 percent from a year ago and now stand at 381. The Senior Center has 2,569 members.
