SALEM, NH — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Salem so you can start planning now.
Here's what's in store this July 4th in Salem:
- What: Third Annual Patriotic Walk/Run
- Where: Field of Dreams, 48 Geremonty Dr., Salem
- When: July 4, registration at 8 a.m., run/walk starts at 9 a.m.
This free family friendly event includes two run/walk courses, a free pancake breakfast, live music, and medals and ribbons for winners.

- What: Fourth of July Fireworks
- Where: Salem High School ball field, 44 Geremonty Dr.
- When: July 4, 9:30 p.m.
Food, music, dancing and a fireworks display are in store for Salem's annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration. Activities and events are planned at Salem High School and Woodbury Middle School, with food concessions and music from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., patriotic music and national anthem from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and fireworks at the high school from 9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- What: Canobie Lake Park Fireworks
- Where: Canobie Lake Park, 85 North Policy St.
- When: July 4, 9:15 p.m.
Canobie Lake Park will host a fireworks display on July 4 and July 5, and then every Saturday from July 6 to Aug. 31. The fireworks will be themed to music.
