Salem's Best Businesses Of 2020: Readers Speak

SALEM, NH — Last month, Patch in Salem asked readers to offer some thoughts about local businesses who had gone above and beyond for customers in the community.

The year 2020 has been a difficult one for everyone but businesses are doing everything they can to help customers and stay afloat during the pandemic.

The Yang Ming Restaurant on South Broadway was praised by Donna, a Patch reader: "Yang Ming shut down for 2 month and once they re-opened, they went out of their way to continue to provide excellent service, food and public safety. Whether it was take out or dining outside, the service was excellent, upbeat and delicious! Ping and May continue to regard their staff and customers as family that they care about. Always a smile and most importantly, always excellent food! Best sushi in town!"

Maddies Restaurant on North Broadway was praised by Charlotte for having a great staff while Howie said B & H Oil had friendly staff and was always doing something for the community.

Cherie called It's All Good In The Kitchen on North Broadway an amazing bakery.

"I started going there because my son is on a gluten free diet and they had a wide variety of treats to choose from," she said. "Of course, I couldn’t help but sample some and everything is so delicious you would never know it was gluten free. He graduated from college this past May (no ceremony or family party) but we celebrated at home with the unbelievably delicious cinnamon rolls and chocolate cake from here. I actually go here for all my baked goods now, even if I don’t necessarily need them to be gluten free. The owners are wonderful, are always there, and provided curbside delivery all throughout the Covid related shutdowns."

Nancy praised Linahan Limousine: "Linahan Limo is a fantastic car service. Booking reservations are easy, all the employees from office workers to the drivers are courteous, patient and helpful. The drivers are excellent, well trained, courteous and always on time, in fact, arriving a few minutes earlier than the pickup time. The cars are spotless and well maintained."

H&H Stoneworks & Home Improvement, New England Ketamine, and WJ Smallwood Landscaping were also praised by readers.
