
New Hampshire Senate Ways and Means Committee voted 4-1 Tuesday to recommend passing a bill that would allow two casinos in the Granite State, although Senate leaders said they will wait to see what the House will do before acting on the legislation, according to the Associated Press.
The expanded gambling bill — Senate Bill 366 — is different than the House's proposal, which features a license for only one casino, according to the Associated Press.
SB 366 calls for essentially the same number of video slot machines (5,000) and table games (240) as last year's bill, which was passed by the Senate but later killed by the House.Â
One key difference is that it would split them between two casinos.
The House's bill was drafted after substantial work by the Gaming Regulatory Oversight Authority, which released its findings and outlined various needs in its final report in December.
