St. Joseph Catholic School Hosts 'Touch - A- Truck' Event

The 'Touch -A- Truck' event is held annually and aims to collect canned goods for the St. Mary & Joseph food pantry.

From St. Joseph Regional Catholic School: St. Joseph Regional Catholic School hosted its third annual Touch-A-Truck Festival on Sunday, May 21st. Thousands of visitors enjoyed an afternoon of exploring trucks and up-close visits with Salem Fire, Salem Police, NH SWAT, Salem DPW, and more! The festival was generously sponsored by Gabriel Chiropractic, Enterprise Bank, DeLuca Motors, and Haverhill Bank.

“Our Touch-A-Truck event is a highlight of the year for our school family,” explains Mr. Jay Cullen, interim principal. “It is a fun, family event we host for our community. This year’s visitors were generous with their food donations to our parish food pantry.”

Entrance to this event is FREE to the public but donations of canned goods were requested to support the Saints Mary & Joseph food pantry. St. Joseph School students, along with Mr. Cullen, delivered the donation to the food pantry today, in honor of World Hunger Day on May 28th. It is an initiative by The Hunger Project. Started in 2011, it aims to celebrate sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty.
