Toscana Fest Returns to Tuscan Village

Every fall, Tuscan Village on Main Street in Salem transforms into an Italian street festival on par with that of Boston’s famous North End feasts. In its fourth year, Toscana Fest is one of the largest community events organized byTuscan Brands’ owner Joe Faro, and combines the sights, smells, and sounds of Italy – all to benefit the Lazarus House, a Lawrence MA-based organization that helps individuals break the cycle of homelessness and poverty through education, housing assistance, health services, and more.

“Tuscan Brands is honored to support the Lazarus House through our annual Toscana Fest, which has raised more than $40,000 to date,” says Joe Faro of Tuscan Brands. “We are especially excited about our involvement and support of the innovative Lazarus House Culinary Training Program, which we developed to train individuals and provide them with the education and tools to a successful hospitality career. It is remarkable to work with these individuals and see them blossom as Tuscan Brands employees.”

Toscana Fest, held this year on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tuscan Village (63-67 Main St. in Salem), features traditional Italian culture (gelato, panini, and other artisan Italian foods from Tuscan Kitchen and Tuscan Market, alongside live music and bocce on the property’s picturesque tournament-worthy courts) and autumn family favorites like pumpkin carving, hay rides, face-painting, carnival games, and more. Toscana Fest is open to the public and free to attend; local vendors and food trucks will offer items for purchase, with proceeds going to the Lazarus House.
