1 Vehicle Stolen, Several Broken Into Around Bernards Township

All vehicles were left unlocked. Police once again urged people to lock their doors.

BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Bernards Township police reported a stolen vehicle and several vehicle burglaries earlier this month in their blotter released Wednesday. All vehicles were left unlocked, according to authorities.

The incidents were reported Dec. 3 and mostly occurred in the "Hills" area up Allen Road, according to Det. Lt. Jon Burger.

"However, these general incidents involve random areas of town and sometimes several spots at one time," Burger told Patch.

The keys were left inside the stolen vehicle, according to police. About five vehicle burglaries took place, with nominal items stolen.

Bernards Township police urged everyone once again to lock their doors.
