Wellness Day Career Panel Held At Ridge High School

Eight professionals from a variety of careers were featured during the Jan. 29 wellness day.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Eight professionals from a variety of careers shared insights into their jobs with high school students during a Wellness Day Career Panel on Jan. 29 at Ridge High School.

"We heard from an amazing group of professionals who shared their insights and experiences," said Ridge Student Body Treasurer Aarya Raval, who co-MC'd the event.

"It was a really engaging and insightful event and all of the students really enjoyed it. We look forward to bringing more career opportunities to Ridge in the future," said Raval at the Feb. 10 Board of Education(BOE) meeting.

The student-led panel included Ridge High School students who moderators discussions with local professionals representing diverse career paths - all of whom either live or work in Basking Ridge.

"This intersection of local talent, student engagement, and career exploration showcases how our community is helping prepare the next generation of professionals," said Entrepreneur, Investor, and Coach Farheen Qadir, who was one of the speakers at the panel.

BOE President Jennifer White said the panel "was very successful, very well received and we look forward to doing more of that."
