3 Basking Ridge Golfers To Compete In PGA Jr. League Regional

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Three Basking Ridge junior golfers ages 13 and under are part of a co-ed team who will be competing in a PGA Jr. League Regional presented by National Car Rental at Seaview Golf Club in Galloway on Sept. 14 and 15.

Matthew Lu, 12, from the New Jersey National Golf Club and Ryan Fish, 10, and Sam Dolan, 13, both from Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club have been chosen to play on the Del Val 1 All-Stars team.

The Del Val 1 All-Stars won the PGA Jr. League New Jersey Section Championship on Aug. 15 to advance to the Regional.

They will compete against three All-Star teams from Farmingdale, New York; Syracuse, New York; and State College, Pennsylvania, for the opportunity to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship in Scottsdale, Arizona on Oct. 11 through 14.

Here is the Del Val 1 All-Star Roster including the local junior golfers competing:

• Matthew Lu, 12, from Basking Ridge – New Jersey National Golf Club
• Dylan Wickham, 13, from Chatham – New Jersey National Golf Club
• Ryan Fish, 10, from Basking Ridge – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
• Mattei Yacykewych, 11, from Bridgewater – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
• Emily Renoff, 13, from Glen Ridge – Trump National Golf Club
• Dominick Beck, 12, from Randolph – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
• Holden Schipper, 11, from Lebanon – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
• Grant Po, 11, from Bridgewater – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
• Alex Patel, 12, from Madison – Mendham Golf & Tennis Club
• Sam Dolan, 13, from Basking Ridge – Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club

The Del Val 1 All-Stars is formed from a combination of players in each league.
