4 Weeks Of Construction On South Maple Avenue Begins Next Week

PSE&G will be installing a new transmission gas main on South Maple Avenue from Ashwood Lane to West Oak Street.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Construction on South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge is slated to begin next week and continue over the next four weeks.

Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) will be preparing to install a new transmission gas main on South Maple Avenue from Ashwood Lane to West Oak Street.

Depending on the weather the contractor, J. Fletcher Creamer, will begin during the week of Sept. 9. The road work is expected to be completed in about four weeks.

Construction will be done at night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Saturday. Detours will be in place during these work hours.

Once the new main is installed, the road surface will be repaved and restored.
