Basking Ridge Athletic Fields To Reopen To Permit Holders
Permanent restrooms at Pleasant Valley Park, Dunham Park and Mountain Parks also reopened Monday.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Athletic fields in Basking Ridge reopened on Monday with social distancing rules in place following its closure from the coronavirus.
Here are some of the rules and guidelines in place at the fields:
- No contact practices may resume on Township athletic fields beginning Monday.
- Contact practices and games may resume July 6 for medium risk sports such as lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball and field hockey.
- Contact practices and games may resume July 20 for high risk sports such as football, rugby and group cheer.
- Groups with existing permits may resume use beginning Monday.
In-town non-profit sports leagues will be able to reschedule or secure new field reservations first. New reservations may be requested beginning June 29. More details on the reservation process will be sent next week.

All groups will be expected to comply with any requirements outlined in the NJ Department of Health Guidance for Sports Activities. Groups reserving fields to conduct a summer camp will also be expected to follow all applicable NJDOH Summer Camp Guidance in addition to the standards for sports activities.

Permanent restrooms at Pleasant Valley Park, Dunham Park and Mountain Parks will also reopen on Monday. Restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected twice daily by contracted janitorial service.
