Cases

The Somerset County Health Department has reported 530 coronavirus cases and 42 deaths in Bernards Township since the pandemic began. Here are the town's latest daily case totals:

  • Thursday, Nov. 26: 10
  • Friday, Nov. 27: seven
  • Saturday, Nov. 28: four
  • Sunday, Nov. 29: six
  • Monday, Nov. 30: two
  • Tuesday, Dec. 1: 10
  • Wednesday, Dec. 2: five

The health department reported 111 new cases Wednesday in Somerset County, bringing the area to 8,888 total cases and 537 deaths.

  • Liberty Corner School reopened Wednesday. The Bernards Township School District officials previously believed transmission occurred between a teacher and student in the same homeroom. But the teacher's coronavirus test was a false positive. MORE.
