Basking Ridge COVID Vaccine Numbers Rise: See Updated Total
There are about 26,700 people living in Basking Ridge. Here's how many are vaccinated against COVID-19, NJ health officials say.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The number of Basking Ridge residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 continues to rise but the township still has work to do.
The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations. The state's COVID-19 dashboard now reveals the percentage of all people, adults and seniors who have been partially or fully vaccinated in each city and town.
Here's the data in Bernards Township as of Friday, June 4:

- Basking Ridge population with at least one dose: 66 percent of all ages, 82 percent of adults (18 and older) and 88 percent of seniors (65 and older).
- Basking Ridge population fully vaccinated: 56 percent of all ages, 72 percent of adults and 83 percent of seniors.
Basking Ridge is slowly making progress. Comparing the numbers from May 28, the percentage of fully vaccinated people of all ages increased by 1 percent and the percentage of all ages with at least one dose increased 1 percent.
Across Somerset County, there have been 369,124 doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered as of June 4, according to the state Department of Health. There were 209,972 county residents who have received at least one dose of the vaccines, the state's COVID-19 database says, and 173,153 who were fully vaccinated as of that date.

New Jersey set a goal to fully vaccinate 70 percent of adults — 4.7 million people — by the end of June. Just over 4.135 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated as of Friday afternoon.
