The purpose of the Basking Ridge Garden Club is to encourage the spirit of gardening, to preserve our trees, birds, and wildflowers, to be environmentally aware, and to contribute to the beautification of our community.
The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge generously hosts the Club’s monthly meetings. In addition, Club members volunteer to plant, maintain, and care for a rock garden on the grounds.
The Club and the rock garden were recently recognized with a runner’s up award from the National Garden Clubs, Inc. in the category, “Civic Projects with Native Plants”.
