Basking Ridge Holding Virtual Tree Lighting, Holiday Kickoff
The Basking Ridge Business Alliance hosts the kickoff and Christmas Tree Lighting this Saturday.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Despite challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic, the holidays are back in Basking Ridge. The Basking Ridge Business Alliance will host a Virtual Holiday Kickoff and Christmas Tree Lighting this Saturday.
The Basking Ridge Volunteer Fire Department will set up the Christmas Tree from 9 a.m. to noon in downtown Basking Ridge. Those driving by will receive Business Alliance coupon books, and the fire department will also ask for donations.
A virtual ceremony will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. with greetings from the mayor, local businesses and the community. The ceremony will also feature music, a singalong and the countdown to the tree lighting.

"Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we wanted to continue to bring the excitement of the holidays and the Christmas Tree Lighting to the community,” said Business Alliance President Ryan McCloskey. "We are planning a terrific event for the community to enjoy from the comfort of their homes. Also, we hope to recognize our local businesses that provide our community with valuable products and services throughout the holiday season."
