Basking Ridge Playgrounds To Reopen Tuesday Amid Coronavirus

Basketball courts and sand volleyball courts will also open on Friday. ​

BASKING RIDGE,NJ — Basking Ridge will reopen township park playgrounds on Tuesday following the coronavirus closure.

Playgrounds to reopen include Dunham Park, Pleasant Valley Park, Rebel Hill Park and Southard Park.

The Bernards Township Parks & Recreation issued some guidelines that will be in place at the township parks including:

  • Guests are asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before and after use. Restrooms are open at Dunham Park and Pleasant Valley Park for hand-washing or bring your own hand sanitizer.
  • Maintain a 6 foot distance from members not in your household and wear a face covering if social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • If the playground is crowded, consider visiting a different location or at a different time of day.
  • Basketball courts and sand volleyball courts will open on Friday.

The playgrounds had closed in March to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
