Bernards Township School Board Looks To Fill Vacant Seat
The deadline for interested candidates to apply to fill the vacant seat is May 14.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Board of Education is looking to fill a seat that will become vacant as of May 25.
The school board is currently accepting applications for the upcoming vacancy. Those interested must contact Jennifer Nicholson at the Board of Education Office at 908-204-2600 x 106 or via email at jnicholson@bernardsboe.com in order to request an application packet.
The completed application packets must be submitted by 4 p.m. Friday, May 14.

A committee made up of members of the Board of Education will review the applications and select candidates to be interviewed in person at the June 7 Board of Education meeting.
Applicants must be available to attend the Board of Education meeting on June 7 at 7 p.m. The successful candidate will be sworn in during the June 7 meeting and begin serving immediately.

If the successful candidate wants to serve on the school board beyond 2021 they must file with the Somerset County Clerk’s office to run in the November 2021 election.
