The Bernards Township School District is conducting class virtually this week. Superintendent Nick Markarian made the decision last month, because he didn't want to risk a staff shortage when school gets back in session.

But the district continues to track cases while staying remote. Officials reported nine new cases within Ridge High School, two from William Annin Middle School and one associated with Oak Street Elementary School.
