Burglaries, Sign Thefts Reported In Basking Ridge
Bernards Township Police said a home burglary, vehicle burglary, and several thefts of political signs were reported this month

BASKING RIDGE, NJ—A home burglary and a vehicle burglary, as well as thefts of several political yard signs, top this month's Bernards Township police blotter.
On September 14, a resident of the 40 block of Dryden Drive reported a home burglary. According to police, the residents returned to the home around 9 p.m. and discovered the house ransacked and found multiple items, including a safe and cash, missing.
A resident of High Meadow Lane reported three of their car windows were smashed and their vehicle burglarized on September 17. Police did not have information about what was taken.

There were six incidents of political yard signs being stolen in town, according to police. On September 3, an American flag yard sign was taken from a South Maple Avenue home. In two separate incidents on September 9, "Blue Lives Matter" signs were stolen from homes on Sentinel Drive .
On September 13, a resident of South Alward Avenue reported the theft of "Chadda/Sandler" campaign signs from their yard. On September 20, residents of Washington Avenue and Walnut Circle reported thefts of "Biden For President" signs from their yard, police said.

Bernards police are asking residents to remember to lock their doors and vehicles, particularly at night, and to report suspicious activity promptly.
