Construction On Mount Airy Road Could Take 4 Weeks

New Jersey American Water will be installing a new 2,260​-foot long water main on Mount Airy Road from West Oak Street to Countryside Drive.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Construction on Mount Airy Road is expected to begin this week and could continue for the next four weeks as a new water main is installed, Bernards Township Police said.

New Jersey American Water will be installing the new 2,260-foot long water main on Mount Airy Road from West Oak Street to Countryside Drive.

Weather permitting work by contractor, Vollers Construction, is set to begin during the week of Aug. 19 and is expected to be completed in about four weeks.

Work will be done from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Saturday. Detours will be in place. Work may occur outside of the posted hours if needed to keep the project on schedule.

After the new water main is installed, the road will be repaved.
