What is the purpose of CareShare?

CareShare aims to reduce the financial stress and worry that patients face when they begin IVF treatment. Because IVF is priced according to cycle, and because several IVF cycles are sometimes needed to achieve and sustain a pregnancy and give birth, fertility treatment can be costly. CareShare’s goal is to give patients peace of mind and the financial resources to pursue other family building options if RMANJ does not succeed in helping them have a baby.
How does CareShare work?
CareShare is simple: for a fixed price, RMANJ gives patients up to six IVF cycles and the use of frozen embryo transfer to achieve delivery of a baby. All these cycles include genetic embryo testing, or Comprehensive Chromosome Screening (CCS), which identifies embryos with the best chance of implanting and going on to result in a live birth. If, after all six cycle attempts have been exhausted and the patient has not delivered a baby, RMANJ returns 100% of the money. Once a live birth is achieved and a birth certificate is issued, however, the program is considered closed and the patient benefit is considered exhausted.
Who is CareShare for?
CareShare is for patients who have no fertility benefits or who have exhausted their fertility benefits. It is also for people who want the peace of mind of a guarantee.
How much does CareShare cost?
The program costs $32,000.
Is that a good deal for six cycles?
Absolutely. The average cost of an IVF cycle in the U.S. is $12,400, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. At a package price of $32,000, CareShare is roughly equivalent to the cost of two IVF cycles, including genetic testing. But with CareShare, you get up to six cycles. The best part is if you are not successful, you get $32,000 back.
Am I eligible?
RMANJ is transparent and generous about eligibility for CareShare. To qualify, female patients must:
- Have an FSH level of no more than 12
- An AMH level of 1 ng/mL or more
- Normal uterine cavity and lining
- No more than one previously failed IVF cycle
- Be able to complete six cycles prior to turning 41 years of age
Is there any other fine print?
Patients have 18 months from the date of their first cycle to complete all six cycles, and some costs, like medication, are not covered. As with any new program, RMANJ is constantly evaluating the best way to share the risk and better serve patients.
What are other women saying about it?
Katherine, who enrolled in CareShare at RMANJ’s Hamilton, New Jersey clinic last year, and delivered her baby girl Elizabeth this February, said the program allowed her to gain confidence in her chances of having a child.
“If RMA is able to offer this program, they must be very confident that they can deliver the results,” she said. “We decided to do this because it didn’t feel like I was being sold a product at all – I was being told I’m a good candidate to deliver, and the doctors believed in me.”

Note: It’s important to note that patients achieving a live birth on their first attempt will have paid more than a traditional “pay-as-you-go” cycle.
