Flood Watch Issued For Somerset County Wednesday Night
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in spots, as of 4 p.m. Additional rainfall of around an inch is expected: National Weather Service

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Somerset County through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Heavy rain due to thunderstorms passing through the county could cause minor flooding of roadways and areas of poor drainage.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in spots, as of 4 p.m. Additional rainfall of around an inch is expected in parts of the area, according to the NWS.

Here's a look at the forecast for the rest of the week:
Tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. Areas of fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Areas of fog before 3 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m., then patchy drizzle after 3 a.m. Patchy fog after 3 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday: Patchy drizzle before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 77. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
