Group To Plan Future Of Basking Ridge's Lord Stirling Stable

COVID-19 has resulted in restrictions and event cancelations at the stable.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Somerset County officials created an advisory group to ensure future equine activities and programs at Lord Stirling Stable. The facility has been hampered by the coronavirus, resulting in canceled events and restrictions on activities.

The advisory group features representatives of Stable stakeholders and equine-industry experts. County officials and the Somerset County Park Commission tasked them with developing a strategic business plan that identifies necessary and desired programs for Lord Stirling Stable.

As the first coronavirus wave hit New Jersey last spring, the Stable announced it would cancel 2020's events.
