Heat Advisory In Effect For Somerset County Through Wednesday
The heat index is forecast to be between 100 and 104 degrees, the National Weather Service is forecasting.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Somerset County. It will remain in effect from noon Tuesday through 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Maximum heat index values will range from 100 to 104 degrees in the afternoon with temperatures in the middle 90s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 102. West wind 3 to 8 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 73. West wind 3 to 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 101. Light west wind becoming southwest 6 to 11 mph in the morning.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 73. Southwest wind around 7 mph.
Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. North wind around 6 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
