Hundreds Woke Up Without Power In Basking Ridge Area
More than 700 residents in Basking Ridge, Bernardsville are woke up Monday to no power. JCP&L estimates power could be restored by 6 p.m.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A severe thunderstorm that brought lightning, high winds, heavy rain and hail left Basking Ridge with outages on Monday.
More than 400 residents in Baking Ridge and 385 residents in Bernardsville woke up Monday morning to no power due to the severe weather storm on Sunday night, JCP&L reported as of 9:30 a.m.
Power has since been restored to almost all of Basking Ridge and Bernardsville residents as of Monday night at 7:30 p.m.

Residents in Bedminster, Watchung, Bound Brook, Franklin, Hillsborough, Somerville, South Bound Brook, and Warren had also lost power.
Trees and power lines came down as the storm swept through the area along the I-287 and I-78 line on Sunday night. As a result multiple roads closed going up the mountain to the Martinsville area in Bridgewater.

Another storm hit the area on Monday night however, outages did not rise in the area.
A flood watch is in effect for the area until Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Here's a look at the upcoming forecast:
Tuesday: Showers, mainly before 2 p.m. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 81. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 83. North wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Light northwest wind.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 85.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
