Icy Weather Brings Down Trees, Causes Outages In Basking Ridge
Additionally hundreds are without power across Somerset County due to the icy weather.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Icy weather is bringing down trees, causing road closures and power outages in the Basking Ridge area.
A downed tree is being reported on I-287 southbound South of Exit 30 - North Maple Avenue in Bernards Township causing the right lane to be blocked with a 10 to 15 minute delay.
A tree is also down on Quincy Road between Lyons Road and William Annin Middle School, according to the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Another downed tree is on I-287 northbound North of Exit 22 - US 202 in Far Hills causing the right lane to close.
Additionally hundreds are without power across Somerset County due to the icy weather.

JCP&L is reporting a total of 426 customers without power as of 3:35 p.m. with 122 customers out in Basking Ridge. Others without power include 113 in Bedminster, 111 Bernardsville, 15 Far Hills, 48 in Peapack and Gladstone, 11 in Warren, and 6 in Hillsborough.
There is no estimated restoration time as of 3:35 p.m.
