Junior Explorers: Become a March River Rat and Explore the Great Swamp

This exciting local weekend program gives kids the chance to hike, observe the great outdoors, and interact with live animals.

Attention junior trail blazers! Get ready for an exciting weekend of hiking, observing, interacting with live animals, creating crafts, and exploring the Great Swamp.

The March River Rats program is back in session, offering children ages 5 through 8 exhilarating outdoor opportunities in the Basking Ridge area.

Children will join a Naturalist for an exciting weekend of outdoor exploration at the Great Swamp. River Rats will continue each month, focusing on a new and different theme.

River Rats will convene from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, March 7, 14, 21, and 28. The fee for the 4-session program is $36 per child.

Registration and payment may be made online here, in person at the Environmental Education Center, via mail, or by telephone at 908-766-2489. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
