Locals Can Honor Others Through Trees Planted In Basking Ridge

​​Trees must be ordered by June 30 for planting in various Bernards Township parks the following October.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township is offering locals the opportunity to honor, commemorate or recognize others through the Commemorative Tree Program.

This program allows locals to honor the memory of a relative, friend or member of an organization; commemorate a milestone or special event; or recognize a volunteer or employee service.

Trees must be ordered by June 30 for planting in various Bernards Township parks the following October. A preferred location can be listed, however the exact location is at the discretion of the Township.

Locals will receive a notification letter with the date and time of planting so they may be present if they wish. A plaque, located at Town Hall outside the Parks & Recreation service window, displays the names of all individuals/organizations for whom trees have been planted, including the occasion and year of planting.
