Over 1300 gists for underprivileged children

The Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable, in cooperation with the Friends of Lord Stirling Stable, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department, and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, held a Toys for Tots collection drive on Saturday morning December 5, 2020.

Staff and volunteers, including Santa and Mrs. Claus accompanied by ponies JJ and Ebony, collected toy donations to enable children who are in need to receive Christmas gifts

More than 1,300 new toys and books were collected by generous visitors to the Stable who remained in the vehicles due to COVID-19 regulations.

Collections were also made at Neshanic Valley Golf Course, Duke Island Park, Colonial Park, and the Environmental Education Center.
