Lyft Offers Free Rides To Peapack Cooling Center During Heat Wave

PEAPACK/GLADSTONE, NJ — With the sweltering heat wave upon us, Lyft is offering some relief by giving New Jersey residents free rides to 12 cooling stations across the state – including one in Peapack.

The rideshare service will bring residents to Peapack-Gladstone Municipal Building at 1 School St., in Peapack for free using code "NJCOOL19."

The heat index is supposed to hit anywhere from 102 to 107 on Friday afternoon. The heat index is supposed to be at its worst at 5 p.m. Then it will zoom anywhere from 108 to 116 on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. • County Administration Building: 1 Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack
• Morgan Village Community Center: Morgan Boulevard and Hunter Street, Camden
• Vineland Public Library: 1058 East Landis Ave., Vineland
• The H.E.L.P. Center: 224 Sussex Ave., Newark
• St. Lucy's Shelter: 619 Grove St., Jersey City
• Jennye W. Stubblefield Senior Center: 301 Prospect St., Trenton
• Howell Branch: 318 Old Tavern Road, Howell
• New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center: 81 Huntington St., Southampton Township
• Paterson Free Public Library: 250 Broadway, Paterson
• Peapack-Gladstone Municipal Building: 1 School St., Peapack
• Peterstown Community Center: 418 Palmer St., Elizabeth
