Meet the Ponies at Lord Stirling Stable In Basking Ridge

Horse lovers ages 7 to 9 are invited to “Meet the Ponies” at a new program at Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge.

The staff at Lord Stirling Stable will present the program designed for young horse enthusiasts on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The event is ideal for individual non-riders and riders, scout troops and other youth groups.

Participants will experience hands-on interaction with ponies. Under the guidance of experienced Lord Stirling Stable staff, students will be able to groom a pony, learn about what ponies eat, and the work involved in taking care of a pony. Participants will also make a horse-related craft and take part in a pony ride.

The fee is $15 per child and $10 for each additional sibling in the same age group. Pre-registration is required by phone at 908-766-5955 or in person at the Stable office. Payment by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover is required at time of enrollment.
