Middle Schoolers Gear Up for Girls On Track Spring Running Program

Girls on Track strives to help local girls run a 5K, live healthy lives, and make friends. The program will be held at William Annin School.

The ground has yet to thaw, but that doesn’t stop young runners and volunteers in Bernards Township from gearing up for this season’s Girls on Track program.

Girls on Track is a 10-week running program designed to help girls in sixth through eighth grade prepare for a lifetime of healthy living, while making friends and training for a 5K in a fun, nurturing environment.

The program begins on March 24 at William Annin Middle School in Bernards Township. Participants will have fun training for the Girls on the Run of Central NJ 5K race on June 7 while making friends and learning about themselves as they grow and mature. Girls are encouraged to set goals during the program and meet them by walking or running, and embarking on a healthier lifestyle.
