New Lacrosse Wall To Be Built At Ridge High School
Fundraising to cover the $75,000 needed to build the wall will begin after final details are completed and a contractor is selected.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Board of Education approved the construction of a lacrosse wall on the Ridge High School campus at the Jan. 27 meeting.
The Ridge Lacrosse Board, Ridge Lacrosse Inc., and RYSI Lacrosse, which supports the boys and girls high school programs, will work together and kickoff their fundraising campaign once the project is defined and a contractor has been selected, according to Amy Melick, president of RLI.

The new wall is slated to be built on a site adjacent to the Ridge turf and is estimated to cost $75,000.
"The lacrosse wall project is being spearheaded by parent volunteers. With athletes of all ages poised to reap the benefits of a practice wall, the Ridge Lacrosse Booster Clubs are eager to meet the growing needs of our community youth and teens," said Melick. "This facility provides an outlet for players at all levels to spend time on their own or with teammates and friends, at no cost, for working out and honing their skills. The growth of the sport is evidenced by overall program participation at record highs across all levels."
