Tractor Trailer, Car Collide On I-287 In Basking Ridge Area

The crash cause the two left lanes of the four lanes to close for about an hour. It has since been reopened.

FAR HILLS, NJ — A tractor trailer and a car collided on Wednesday morning causing the car to overturn on I-287 north in the Basking Ridge area.

Around 10:50 a.m. an Acura TL and a tractor trailer collided on I-287 north at milepost 24.6 just north of Exit 22 for Route 202 in Far Hills, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said.

The crash cause the Acura to go off the highway and overturn. The driver of the Acura was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with non-life threatening injuries, Goez said.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department also responded to the scene.

As a result the two left lanes of the four lanes had closed causing a 10 minute delay. It has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
