Parade Set To Show Basking Ridge's First Responders Some Love

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A parade will be held on Monday night to show Basking Ridge's First Responders some love in honor of EMS Appreciation Week.

Kathleen Ferrante, a firefighter and EMT in Basking Ridge, set up the parade as a way to say thank you.

"I just felt like we needed more community outreach," said Ferrante. "I want to get us back to being back with the community and see some faces."

Ferrante is inviting residents to come out on Monday at 7:15 p.m. and line up on Washington Avenue to show their support. Residents are invited to bring signs.

The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Basking Ridge Fire Company's Fire House at 30 Washington Ave. and then loop around the parking lot.

EMTs will be lined up and first responder trucks and vehicles will drive by with lights and sirens on.

"Show our volunteers some love!" said Ferrante.
