Park Commission Arbor Day Celebration & Tree Giveaway
Environmental Education Center and Colonial Park Gardens

The annual Arbor Day Celebration and Native Tree Give-Away will take place on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Environmental Education Center (EEC) located at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, and the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden located at Colonial Park, Parking Lot A, 156 Mettlers Road in Somerset (Franklin Township).
A diverse selection of native trees and shrubs will be available. Twelve different species native to the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States will be offered free of charge while supplies last. One tree per person or two trees per family will be given away.
Colonial Park Gardens and Environmental Education Center staff will be available to advise on selection of the best trees for specific planting sites.
