RHS Freshman Boys Basketball Team Completes Undefeated Season
"An undefeated season is a phenomenal accomplishment. This team will forever have a place in Ridge Basketball history," Bill Lester said.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Congrats to the Ridge High School Freshman Boys Basketball Team who finished their undefeated season of 20-0.
The winning season kicked off with a win against Immaculata and was on a roll.

- Winning on the road at the division rival Montgomery,
- Holding the best record at the Immaculata Freshman Holiday Tournament with a wins over Watchung Hills and Hunterdon Central,
- The Jan. 18 win at Phillipsburg which was a nail biter and went down to the end.
The season was ended with two wins against Elizabeth and Newark Tech.
"This group had a phenomenal season with everyone stepping up making key contributions to the team," Coach Bill Lester said.

Before the season had started three members of the freshman class moved up to Varsity and JV teams leaving spots to be filled.
Lester highlighted some players:
- Chris Dong and Brett Astrin stepped up to the challenge to lead the team.
- Arnav Arni and Dillon DiDario took their games to the next level as the season progressed. They brought toughness and leadership every single day.
- Forwards Zach Harrison and Carson Giust added toughness inside.
- James Deady and Joe DeMarco were instant sparks off of the bench.
- Sean McClusky, Tim Silverman, Christian Edwards, Russell Tam rounded out the team and everyone played had a roll in the season’s accomplishments.
- Will Hubert, although on injured reserve, was an important part of keeping the team spirit at high levels and supported the team consistently all the way to the end.
"An undefeated season is a phenomenal accomplishment. This team will forever have a place in Ridge Basketball history," Lester said. "Something tells me this freshman group has some more history to write in the next couple of years!"
