Ridge Girls' Lacrosse Tops Bernards

Conyers Leads Offensive Effort with 4 Goals and 2 Assists

Bernardsville -- Ridge Girls' Lacrosse beat neighboring rival Bernards 14-10 the afternoon of May 11th to improve their record to 3-3.

Within the first 20 minutes of the game, Ridge pulled ahead with six goals to Bernards’ two goals thanks to a stout Red Devil defensive effort before the Mountaineers called a time-out to regroup. Back on the field, Bernards responded by netting four consecutive shots, making the contest much tighter at the half with Ridge ahead 7-6.

The game remained tight 15 minutes into the 2nd half with a one-goal differential until Ridge called a timeout. The Red Devils returned to the field and never looked back, taking the lead 14-10 with five minutes remaining, and holding tight until the end of the contest.

Abby Conyers led Ridge with four goals and two assists accompanied by Olivia Pikiell and Jennifer Prince who each netted three. Julie Narleski contributed two goals and two assists, with Nicole Sileo and Kate Pesarchick each adding one. Pesarchick also had an assist and dominated in the circle with Pikiell, winning six draws and five draws respectively.
