Ridge High School Honored With 13th Annual ShopRite Cup

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Ridge was among six top performing high school athletic programs to be honored this fall with the 13th annual ShopRite Cup.

The winning schools were awarded points by finishing in the top four in their group’s state championship competitions in 31 NJSIAA-sanctioned sports, with additional bonus points given for good sportsmanship.

Ridge High School earned 83 points in their final standings for 2017.

The 2017 ShopRite Cup was presented during award ceremonies in September and October at each of the winning schools. Each school received a banner for display in its gymnasium along with ShopRite Cup trophies. Congratulatory banners are also proudly displayed in the schools’ local ShopRite stores to celebrate the winners.

The 2017 ShopRite Cup recipients include:

• Ridge High School, Basking Ridge
• Villa Walsh Academy, Morristown
• West Essex High School, North Caldwell
• Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft
• Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch
• Haddonfield Memorial High School, Haddonfield

The ShopRite Cup is presented jointly by ShopRite stores and the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).
