Ridge High School To Stage 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Nov. 15-16

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" tells the story of a lover's quarrel, a forbidden love, a fairy kingdom, and a 'play within a play.'

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The award-winning Ridge High School Drama Club will present their fall production of the Shakespearean comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Nov. 15 and 16.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" tells the story of a lover's quarrel, a forbidden love, a fairy kingdom, and a 'play within a play' interwoven by one mischievous fairy’s dream.

The production, directed by Martha Harvey and co-produced with Barbara Retzko, involves more than 90 students ranging from freshmen to seniors. The stage and tech crew are led by Jason Stewart and Dallas Harvey with Lacie Wolfe and Seana Benz leading the costume crew.

This year Broadway conductor and Yankees organist Ed Alstrom joins the team directing all musical elements in the story, all centering around one bizarre dream.

The show will be held on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ridge Performing Arts Center, 268 South Finley Ave. in Basking Ridge.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Seats can be reserved at ridgepac.com.
