BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Former Miami Dolphins free agent quarterback Mark Casale, who recently took over the 7-Eleven in Basking Ridge, brought customers some cheer amid the coronavirus by having a high school senior perform outside on Monday.
Annabel DelGiorno performed on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the convenience store at 545 Martinsville Road in Basking Ridge.
"The reason why I want the Annabel to play on Monday is just to simply spread some cheer during this crazy time to my customers and the people of Basking Ridge and surrounding communities," Casale said. "Hopefully, it will put a smile on people.Although with masks covering everyone's faces, we may not see it!"

DelGiorno has been playing music for as long as she can remember. It began with the piano.
"I can remember all through elementary and middle school I hated playing the piano," DelGiorno said. "But my mom said, 'No you will still practice.' It took until freshman year for me to really enjoy it and now I can’t stop."
Along with the piano, DelGiorno plays the guitar, ukulele, and harp. She will be performing with the guitar and ukulele on Monday.
DelGiorno performed two of her original songs and also some covers of "happy songs to bring joy to people."
Some songs include "Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves and "Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles.
"I am very excited," DelGiorno said. "It will get me out of the house to play music for people and bring smiles and bring more fun in people’s lives. I will be able to get out and do what I love."
