Road Closure In Basking Ridge For 3 To 4 Weeks: Police

Police are setting up a detour to divert traffic from the 150-foot section of road they're shutting down for construction work.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A portion of Old Army Road in Basking Ridge is shut down temporarily for replacement of a retaining wall, according to the Bernards Township Police Department.

Authorities say the project is expected to last three to four weeks.

The full width of the road will be shut down between 253 and 263 Old Army Road, a distance of about 150 feet.

During the project, Old Army Road between Old Farm Road and Hardscrabble Road will be closed to thru traffic. Only local traffic will be allowed. Authorities have set up a detour.
